Domino sighed as she picked up the long, ivory trail of her dress and unceremoniously ripped it. She had tried to tell the girls this would never work: bridal finery and assassins, soldiers, or even warriors, did not mix; since she was all three, her wedding had been doomed from the start.
Only it hadn’t really been, she thought, grinning, as she charged into battle beside her new husband. They had said the words; after all these years, they had made things official. Nathan was hers, and she was his; in the end, that was all that mattered, not all the idiots who thought they could keep them apart or at least ruin their big day.
